Name : Scully
-
Breed : cross-breed - Labrador Retriever plus (probably) Rough Collie, and possibly others too!
-
D.O.B. : unknown - around the beginning of 1999. We adopted her from the RSPCA shelter in March 1999 aged about 11 weeks.
-
Personality : Scully is the loud one: she only has one bark, which she uses to both greet and warn! She's big and boisterous and can be alarming to people who are unsure of dogs but she's really only being friendly. She gets on well with other dogs but doesn't suffer (canine) fools gladly and will defend Poppy against all comers - a fact that Poppy takes advantage of! She's a good house dog, and strangers treat her with healthy respect when they knock at the door; she won't let anyone in until I say so, then she's their best friend.
-
Best Friend : Poppy - she seems to think Poppy is still a puppy and in need of looking after!
-
Likes : going for walks, food (definitely food!) and playing with Poppy. Oh, and food ...
-
Dislikes : loud noises of any kind. For such a big, dominant dog, she is a total wuss when it comes to bangs. She is terrified of thunder, fireworks and the cannons at the local historical re-enactment centre (which we can hear when the wind's in the wrong direction) and she isn't too thrilled if I accidentally drop a baking tray!
